A coffee table made from reclaimed acrylic, transformed into a flowing, translucent volume.
- The brief
- Design a piece of furniture by reusing materials available in the workshops, as part of a school project.
- Design choices
- Thermoform a leftover piece of acrylic and use curves to bring a coffee table and magazine holder together in one translucent volume.
- The outcome
- A full-scale prototype measuring 80 × 50 × 80 cm, accompanied by a mockup in a living space.
A school project exploring the reuse of materials available in the workshop. A leftover piece of acrylic becomes a piece of furniture through thermoforming.
